After studying at Art College in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne Linda’s
art career began to take off in the studio of Hugh Mackay Carpets where she
created special designs for hotels, ships, leisure facilities and private individuals.
Whilst here she also completed further studies in textile design.
Shortly after this Linda moved to Yorkshire and was part of a greetings card
company for many years, latterly Hallmark UK. After seven years as a studio artist
having many designs in print for major retailers such as John Lewis, Sainsbury’s
and WH Smith Linda launched out and became a successful freelance designer.
In 2012 she started her own greetings card company ‘Precious to You’
and more recently ‘Linda Vine Art’, creating beautiful seascapes and
landscapes working in acrylic and mixed media.
